Elizabeth Lewis Scott


Elizabeth Lewis Scott has been drawing and painting animals since her childhood.  She earned a B.A. degree in 1975, is a full member of the American Academy of Equine Art(AAEA), and had shown with many prominent equine, wildlife, and western artists.

Elizabeth produces work for galleries and on commission.  She has exhibited at galleries and museums across the country, from Prescott, AZ and Denver, CO to Charleston, SC and Bennington, VT.  Elizabeth has been the official artist for the Charleston Cup steeplechase, and received the AAEA’s Kimbel E. Oelke Award in 2000.   She also teaches classes for the AAEA at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Elizabeth lives with her family on an 80-acre farm, surrounding herself with horses, ponies, and other critters that inspire her artwork.  She spends a significant amount of time each year gathering material in the American west.
