Robert C. Norris is a greatly respected rancher in the cattle, quarter horse and cutting horse industry. His T+ brand is highly sought after at shows, auctions and working ranchess throughout the country. Bob is Past-President of the American Quarter House Association, among many other industry honors. Norris’ other fame comes as the “Marlboro Man” on televeision and in magazine ads during the 1960’s. Nebeker was commissioned by Norris and the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo in Colorado Spring, Colorado to create a 7 foot tall, life sized statue of Norris, at the Norris/Penrose Events Center in June of 2006. Mr. Norris is a major, long time sponsor and underwriter of the Cowboy Artists of America Exhibition and Sale since it’s beginnings in Oklahoma City in 1966. Norris is also on the Board of Directors of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. The American cowboy legend lives on and can be owned by anyone, in Nebeker’s smaller, bronze sculpture, “Boss of the T-Cross”.
