Patriotism and love of one’s country seems to be out of fashion in the modern society of multi-culturalism and the seeming smallness of our technological world. Bill has always been in love with the mere idea of America, its heritage, traditions and its sacred belief in freedom. We are blessed by God in this nation to have the concept that each person is as valuable as any other and that we all have the “inalienable rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” In this sculpture Bill has tried to capture his idea of what price our ancestors had to pay for the wonderful life we have today.
